Will we be able to feed the huge population growth planet earth is experiencing?

Are there any ways we can reduce the contamination of our water supply that comes from agriculture pesticides?

As cities grow and get further away from farms, is there a way to start growing food a little close to home?

The answer is yes!

Check out this great video which celebrates Aeroponics – very similar to aquaponics however the roots are misted with nutrients rather than submerged in nutrient rich water.

We favour aquaponics as it is more natural and therefore more sustainable (all the nutrients come from the fish poop). However we are still flushed with excitement whenever we see initiatives like this.

Looks great, don’t you think?

Being a health-nut, London born Pippa has struggled to adjust to the lack of availability of lettuce and kale since re-locating to India. Previously naive to the extent of the worlds food struggles, she has now become obsessed with sustainability in food production and especially in India where it needs it the most (plus she’s also hoping to get her hands on some kale any day now). When she’s not writing for Aquaponics in India, she is usually found with her head in a book or in the kitchen experimenting with new vegetarian recipes.
